William Attaway became the third lead pastor of Southview Community Church in 2006. Prior to coming to Southview as the associate pastor in 2004, he served as a staff minister at North Richland Hills Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, as well as churches in Mississippi and Alabama. Pastor William is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He is a graduate of William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS (B.A. in Religion), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX (M.A. in Theology), and Trinity Southwest University (Ph.D. in Old Testament studies, emphasis in archaeology). William and his wife Charlotte were married in 1997, and they have two daughters: Erin, born in 2004, and Allison, born in 2007.
In previous ministry settings, Pastor William has most enjoyed developing programs for leadership training. He believes and tries to model that a pastor’s job is not to do everything himself, but to “equip the saints for the work of service”. Pastor William’s primary spiritual gifts are teaching, leadership, and administration. He also teaches as an adjunct for two undergraduate programs. The Attaways homeschool their daughters, striving to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. His favorite verse of Scripture is Romans 8:31 - “What then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Licensed Professional Counselor
Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience in psychotherapy, working with adolescents, individuals, families, and groups. I truly enjoy partnering with clients to increase self-awareness, identify and release restrictive patterns, foster empowerment, and encourage positive change.
I believe that change is possible for everyone, and it begins with a safe and accepting environment. My approach to therapy is warm, direct, non-threatening and empowering, with a focus on working with my clients to identify the patterns and obstacles that prevent them from reaching their goals. Confusion, frustration, anxiety and anger often stem from hidden influences that hamper one's ability to achieve his or her desired quality of life. Many situations can be improved by expanding one's personal insight and awareness. By using Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and techniques from other therapeutic approaches, I strive to help clients identify real options for each unique situation, based on established therapeutic goals.
Most insurance plans are accepted, however, arrangements for private pay can be made. I look forward to meeting you and serving you at Southview. If you would like to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 703-860-8800 . I can also be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kids Ministry Director
Andrea Kiehle (Andi) serves as the Kids Ministry Director at Southview. Above all else, Andi loves children. As a mother of two herself, she believes in helping them grow their faith through play, song, the recognition and sharing of their own talents, and service to others. Andi’s own faith is strengthened and renewed through building strong relationships with children and their families and finding new ways to build communities through fellowship.
Assistant to the Pastor
Mark Kime and his wife, Susanne, began attending Southview in 1985. Mark has been active in several ministries and currently is serving as an Assistant to the Pastor. Mark graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1978 and is retired from the Federal Government after 34 years of service. Mark and Susanne were married in 1978 and have 3 children.
When not volunteering at Southview, Mark enjoys sports of all kind, reading, and a new interest, hiking. One of his favorite Bible verses is Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, whether word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God through Him”.
Sean has been leading worship in the local church since 2002. He earned his degree in Exercise Science from James Madison University (Go DUKES!) and worked as a personal fitness trainer before spending 12 years with Fairfax County Public Schools as a certified K-12 physical education teacher. During his time as a teacher, he had the pleasure of seeing the amazing ways the Lord worked in the lives of his students as they grew chronologically, emotionally, and intellectually. And although Sean couldn’t openly preach the Gospel in that workplace, on many an occasion his students and their families would comment that he shared the “joy of the Lord.”
Sean was raised in a Christian military home and spent time in Italy (where he was born), San Antonio, Texas, and Virginia’s tidewater area, before settling in the Northern Virginia area. When not lifting musical praise to the Father, Sean enjoys coaching his twins’ baseball team, serving as his son’s Scout leader, playing sports, and watching his beloved Dukes football, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and the mighty Washington Redskins…HTTR!
The Lord has blessed Sean with a wonderful family: his wife Melissa, twins Phil and Ella, fur babies (dog & cat) Bear and Zina. Each day, he strives to live out his life verse: Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Alora Zrenda enjoys the dynamic and versatile hats she’s been able to wear at Southview since joining the team in 2016. Born and adopted in Taiwan, Alora grew up in California in a non-Christian home. Believing that Jesus revealed Himself to her at a young age, she found her true identity as the adopted daughter of God and her family in the body of believers. Dubbed the “floater” in her service attitude, her willingness to go and serve in areas with the greatest needs have landed her in unexpected roles and experiences. That is what she loves best about her God- His ability to grow, teach and stretch her in doing things she never thought she would be able to do for His glory, which also aligns with her favorite life verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”- Philippians 4:13.
A true CA girl, Alora often makes quick escapes from her better half husband and 3 mischievous daughters to LA to get her In n Out, boba, and flip flop weather fixes. In her spare time, Alora can be found immersed in watching K drama, listening to K pop music and enjoying some Korean cuisine. She is an avid Big Bang and Jeremy Lin fan and is unrepentant in showing her fan support. She is also happy to call Southview her home church since 2012.
