Day 9: He Is for You

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ‒ Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

When I saw my daughter walk through the door after school, I noticed she seemed defeated. I asked if she was okay, and she pointed to her “I’m a Child of God” shirt. Abigail said a teacher from her school told her that she isn’t a child of God, but she is a child of Blair (that’s me). After hugs and encouragement that she IS a child of God, we prayed and then went on about the evening. The following afternoon, Abigail came home with a big smile! She said another teacher whispered, “Abigail, I really liked the shirt you wore yesterday. It’s true; you are a child of God.” Keep in mind, this teacher didn’t know Abigail heard something different the previous day. Wow! I believe God’s hand was in this situation. He used a different teacher to make sure Abigail knew the truth! God knew this experience would grow Abigail’s faith, and, to be honest, it grew mine too!

God is with us, always. Walk alongside Him. Pray to Him. Give God your fears, your worries. He’ll show up. Today, I challenge you to look for God’s hand in your life.
