“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” ‒ Romans 8:26-27 (NIV)
At the time Pastor William and Erin were in an ambulance headed to INOVA Fairfax Hospital, I woke from a deep sleep. I realized my head and neck were hurting so I began praying. Then I realized that the pain that I was experiencing wasn’t for me; it was for someone else. I was filled with the Holy Spirit and started praying in tongues until I fell asleep.
At my normal getting-up time, I found 33 texts and a middle-of-the-night email from Pastor William. That’s when I realized that I was interceding for Erin. I praised God and thanked Him for using me.
I encourage you to go into your secret place, shut the door, and have that intimate time with the Father daily. He will use you for others and answer your prayers as well.
