The first unplanned pregnancy recorded in the Bible was Mary's. In the unplanned and unexpected, we see the plans God already had for a mother, father, and baby. Mary placed her uncertainty into the certainty of who God is. Likewise, Joseph trusted God's assurance to take Mary as his wife. Joseph was given the very important role of protecting and providing for Mary and the baby. Our Savior was brought into the world in what seems to be an unplanned circumstance.
