Day 20: Shaken & Stirred

“Mountains quake because of Him and the hills dissolve; Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, the world and all the inhabitants in it.” ‒ Nahum 1:5 (NASB)

Southview Guest Speaker Bryan Jones recently shared a great illustration of how the "flavor" of Christ in us is brought out. With a bottle of orange juice, he showed us when the juice has been sitting undisturbed for awhile, the pulp and the juice separate into layers. If you drink it like that, it doesn’t taste very good. There's a reason why the juice label says "SHAKE WELL" before drinking. And that’s what God does to "activate" the Holy Spirit and the talents and gifts He has given you to serve Him and His people well.

Similarly, in our prayer lives, where do we need God to shake us? Have we been just "chillin" in the fridge and not letting the full "flavor" of Christ come through? Where should we be more bold in our prayers? In what areas in your life are you currently shaken? Don't be fearful of the circumstances around you. God has shaken-ed and stirred you to bring out the "flavor" in you for His purpose. Lean into Him in prayer.
