Day 13: A “What If” Worrier

“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.”

‒ Philippians 4:6-7 (TPT)

My entire life I’ve been a worrier. No matter the situation, big or small, I create multiple “what if” scenarios in my mind. I thought that my worried spirit was just naturally part of my identity. Wrong!

Did you know fear and anxiety come from the enemy? If you let him, he’ll consume your mind with negative thoughts that distract you from what God is doing in your life right now and all He has planned for you.

When you’re consumed with fear, anxiety, or depression, tell the enemy to stop and get out of your life immediately—in Jesus’ name! You may feel silly at first, but there’s something very powerful in taking this step.

Remember, God cares about the tiniest things in our lives. Instead of worrying, surrender every bit of your life to Him and invite Him to walk with you step by step. You’ll experience peace and comfort like never before.
