Check-In/Check-Out

Classrooms open 15 minutes prior to start time. For your children’s safety, please escort children to their appropriate classroom (regardless of children’s ability to walk self). For parents of preschooler or infants, please remember to indicate your location for that hour on their information card or clipboard located at each classroom. For security reasons, please remain outside rooms at all times and wait for a teacher or Preschool Coordinator to assist you.

At check-in infants through preschool age children will have a name tag with child and parent name, parent location, and special allergy information that will be attached to clothing. Parents will be given a coordinating security tag with the child’s name on it. The child will be released only to the parent with the security tag. Older siblings are not allowed to pick up an infant or preschooler.

Please pick up children promptly to minimize child anxiety and aid teachers in closing the classroom. At Southview, we value each and every child, and we want to ensure their safety at all times when they are in our care. The Children’s Ministry has a policy that all children must be picked up by a parent (not sibling) at the end of class. You have trusted us to keep them safe, and we want to continue that trust by knowing that we have placed them back into your care at the end of class.

Sickness Policy

We want all of our children healthy and happy. Please keep children home if within the last 24 hours, they have had a fever greater than 99.0 or a contagious condition, including but not limited to experiencing nausea or vomiting. To maintain healthy rooms, our volunteers have been instructed not to admit sick children.
