At Southview Baptist Church, children are important. Committed to equipping children for their futures, we team with our church family to cultivate Christ-centered children who fully rely on God and are growing spiritually.

With a foundation built on Jesus, we use the Bible as our curriculum and adult volunteers as our living examples of a Christ-centered people. Our goal is that all children be loved, valued, and their faith nurtured as they become committed followers of Jesus Christ!

Simply stated, we pray, equip, and encourage so that our children will believe, grow, and lead.

The Children’s Ministry strives to provide various fun and exciting activities designed to engage the children in learning about God. All activities are based on one or more of the five purposes of the church (worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, evangelism).

Discipleship

Sunday Morning Bible Study (SMBS)

Infants and Toddlers (Newborn to 2 Years)

Experienced volunteers provide a safe, loving atmosphere while modeling Christian behavior.

Preschool (3 years to Pre-K)

Elementary (K to 6th Grade)

Sonshine Kids (Newborn to 5 Years)

DiscipleshipTraining

Discipleship Training is designed to move children toward spiritual maturity. Curriculum will allow students to dig deeper into the Word of God and explore a specific topic of interest, such as peace making, peer pressure, and prayer.

Classes meet Sunday evenings from September through May.

	These social events, such as bowling, movie night, and mini golf, focus on building "BLOCKS" (Bonds Lasting Over Christ-Centered Kids) where kids can have fun outside of the Sunday morning setting and to foster the building of relationships.
	The Children's Choice Awards is a fun opportunity for kids to dive into God’s Word over the summer and explore the treasure of the Bible. They will read stories from all over the Bible and vote on their favorite in each category. The winners in each category will be revealed at an awards ceremony.
